Excerpt from article:  "The 12,000-square-foot Transfusion Service Laboratories at the Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center on Manhattan's far Upper West Side contains the hospital's primary blood testing labs, research facilities, a transfusion clinic, and administrative and staff support areas.  The labs, installed in an existing, recently gutted area, were designed by the New York City firm Bernstein & Associates Architects and include a 1,500-square-foot blood donor facility of the New York Blood Center..."
