Featured Articles:
"Interiors Feature: Dignified design", (c) Liza
Berger, McKnight's Assisted Living, 1/8/07
"Long-term care furnishings and interiors are
better suited for residents’ aging bodies, senses
and desire for privacy. Imagine a facility
where there are no medication carts or nurses’
stations, every room has its own private European
shower and other conveniences abound. A pipe
dream, right? Not necessarily. Foulkeways at Gwynedd,
a continuing care retirement community in Gwynedd,
PA, underwent a complete overhaul of its 40 skilled
nursing beds in 2001. “We’re the only skilled
facility in the United States with walk-in closets,”

Baker, The New York Times, 4/1/07
"When Dick Harris retired 16 years ago, he and
his wife, Lynne, moved first to Sarasota, Fla., and
then to a sprawling retirement community 45 minutes
from Chicago. Now the couple expect to adopt a
different kind of senior lifestyle: they plan to
move next year to the Clare at Water Tower, a luxury
high-rise under construction in the Gold Coast
neighborhood of Chicago. He and his wife will
be able to walk to the Art Institute, to the
symphony and to church. 'If you stay active and
involved, you can add years to your life,' Mr.
Harris said. 'Lynne and I both feel this is a
healthy way to age.'..."
