08/02 Newsletter:As we approach the one year anniversary of 9/11, much remains to be done to maximize facility readiness. All facility owners and managers must look to "harden the target", a phrase that describes the goal of protecting buildings from attack. In addition, hospital executives and facility managers have an additional concern, which is the need to provide medical services to the community in the event of a biological, chemical or nuclear attack. The August 2002 issue of our newsletter continues our previous work in this area, and looks at potential facility vulnerabilities, potential solutions, and a suggested methodology for facility owners and managers who want to address these issues in a systematic fashion through a "Facilities Readiness Audit". ************************** CONTENTS 1.00.0 Maximizing Facility Readiness Post 9/11 (William N.
